BIOGRAPHY - She is former CEO of Aésio mutuelle, and as such former Deputy CEO of Aéma (French 4th Insurance group) supervising Health & Protection activities.
In addition, she advised Muzinich & Co, Bridgepoint, LFIS Capital both on the development and investment sides.
Prior to that, she served as Chief Investment Officer for MAIF from 2017 to 2020. Sophie started her career in Investment Banking at Salomon Brothers and JP Morgan, in London and New York. In 2001, she joined Dexia Asset Management (Candriam) in Paris and developed a top tier franchise in Special Situations and Credit, managing up to €15bn in direct investments. In 2009, she took responsibility for equity, credit & commodities strategies.
In 2013, she joined Meeschaert Asset Management as an ExCo member, to structure AM business and grow investment solutions for HNWI. Sophie Elkrief is a French «Ingénieur Civil des Ponts et Chaussées». She earned an MBA from INSEAD. And graduated from CHEA (Centre des Hautes Etudes de l’Assurance, a program designed for Insurance C-suite executives)
She is also an Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Natixis Investment Managers.
